The new way of going to the supermarket

(May 04, 2020)- The COVID-19 global crisis has changed people’s lives all around. For instance, going to the supermarket.

Before this whole pandemic, going to the supermarket was a safe space for everyone in the family.

However, now it can be a place where everyone is at risk of contracting COVID-19. Since it’s a public space, lots of people daily are in contact with the products there are.

In order to avoid coming in touch with others, some supermarkets have implemented methods of social distancing.

For example, Giant have labeled the floors at each cashier telling people where to wait in line before paying.

Along with these new regulations from the supermarkets, people should follow other procedures when going to the supermarket.

Here are some tips:

Make sure you always have a mask and gloves on before entering the supermarket.
When you get to the shopping cart area, disinfect your cart with disinfecting wipes. Some markets have it at the front door, if not bring your own from home.
Always put on hand sanitizer before coming in contact with anything at the supermarket.
Always keep your distance from others when your navigating through the aisles.
If an aisle is too crowded, avoid going in, keep walking and come back to it when it’s less people.

To keep you and others safe, please be aware that anyone is at risk, especially in public places like the supermarkets.

Now, you will see almost everyone at the supermarket with a mask and gloves on. It has become normal because of everyone’s safety.

Supermarkets are looking empty during these times of uncertainty because everyone is scared of getting infected by the virus. And attending public places is risky.

This global pandemic is changing people’s lives and the way to protect each other from the virus.

Wearing a mask and gloves when you go to the supermarket is required to keep everyone safe from the virus.
